Assam polls: Sivasagar district to have 18 all-women polling stations


The Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Sivasagar by way of an order issued on Saturday has chosen six all girls polling stations every for 3 Meeting constituencies Amguri, Thowra and Sivasagar – going to the polls through the first part of the election on March 27.

Assam’s Sivasagar district may have 18 all girls polling stations within the upcoming state Meeting election, an official stated.

The Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Sivasagar by way of an order issued on Saturday has chosen six all girls polling stations every for 3 Meeting constituencies Amguri, Thowra and Sivasagar – going to the polls through the first part of the election on March 27, the official stated.

Within the all girls polling station all of the polling officers might be girls.

As per the order, the chosen all girls polling station for for Amguri constituency are Auniati Hemchandra Dev HS Faculty (E), Auniati Hemchandra Dev HS Faculty (W), Auniati Hemchandra Dev HS Faculty (W)-A, Amguri Women Excessive Faculty (N), Pengera MV Faculty (N) and Pengera MV Faculty (S).

For Thowra constituency, the chosen all girls polling stations are Demow City MV Faculty (N), 102 No. Dihajan Kusiamari LP Faculty (N), Nitaipukhuri Excessive Faculty (N), Nitaipukhuri Excessive Faculty (M), Nemuguri LP Faculty and 98 No. Bam Gohain Gaon LP Faculty.

The all-women polling stations chosen for Sivasagar constituency are 3 No Women LP Faculty (E), 2 No City Main Faculty, 2 No City Main Faculty-A, ONGC LP Faculty (N), ONGC LP Faculty (S) and ONGC LP Faculty (M).

Elections to the 126-member Assam Meeting might be held in three phases on March 27, April 1 and April 6.
